In general, the younger and healthier you are and the earlier you get, the lower your insurance premium is.
I believe that getting a life insurance upon entering the employment world after my graduation was one of the wisest moves I made. Since I was just in my early 20’s then and the fact that I’m not a smoker, I barely feel the premium dues of my term life insurance that I pay semi-annually now. I am now in my 7th year and will cease paying once I hit the 12th year. Until then that I get the option to renew or upgrade to a whole life or take advantage and take back the paid up premiums as endowed benefit.
I started working two years ahead of the husband (still a boyfriend then) since he took up an Engineering course and took time for his review and board exams. I also advised him to get an insurance right away upon getting a job to take advantage of the security and investment opportunities that it brings. We requested various quotes from an agent and luckily he got a really nice package.
In the US, there’s ReliaQuote, Inc. where you can obtain free quotes of term life insurance instantly and easily from leading life insurance companies by just a click of the mouse on the web. Their selection of tons of low cost term life insurance plans from top rated life insurance companies enables one to compare and ultimately select the best package that would meet his or her needs. Further, it is a one-stop reference site where everything one needs to know about insurance is comparatively detailed.
Just like me, the husband also pays just a meager annual premiums for the past 5 years. And now that we’re on the process of building our little mansion, we feel the advantage of having a low insurance premium since it doesn’t affect much our housing funds.
