I was supposed to finish tons of writing jobs last night but I couldn’t manage to stay in front of the laptop for that long with a throbbing head. I guess, my body’s starting to get its toll on me after spending so much time working and staring on the monitor for more than 12 hours a day recently. My headache, although it’s far less serious than Mesothelioma, was really terrible. I was also feeling a little bit feverish so I popped in a Paracetamol and applied my grandma’s ever-reliable Katinko ointment on my temples. It somehow relieved me but the pain at the back of my right eye wouldn’t just go away. So even if the husband wasn’t home yet at almost midnight for he had a KTV night out with his colleagues, I didn’t wait for him anymore and just slept my headache away. I’m feeling a lot better now after being able to sleep for 8 long hours. Still had tons of pending works but I just had to take a rest amidst these mountain load before my body totally breaks down. The headache’s gone but it seems like I need to have my eyes checked very soon.
I have deep admiration to those non-profit sectors and individuals who devote their full time and sometimes even their lives engaging in activities specifically geared to the public interest. When I was younger, I once dreamt, too, to be one of them or extend in my own little way to be of help with their pursuits. That’s why when I took up Commerce in college, part of my plans was to pursue an Accounting major so I can specialize in Non-profit accounting. A different approach is used for Government accounting and in booking non-profit entities’ accounts. If my recollection of my accounting lessons is correct, it’s the Fund Accounting practice is what’s usually applied for this type of entity. It may have a similarity but it’s different with the accounting approach applied to for-profit organizations and businesses due to the nature of financial activities.
MaherDuessel is an accounting firm that specializes in auditing and providing tax services to non-profit and government organizations. It is a regional public accounting firm employing 70 professionals in Pennsylvania who are driven to serve and guided by their motto: "Pursuing the Profession While Promoting the Public Good". Once in a while, my KSA-based parents send us freight boxes containing stuffs for the home like kitchen and bathroom supplies, chocolates, groceries and canned goods (like Spam), other PX items, signature apparels and clothing and all other goods that are relatively cheaper there. My stepmom is a discount freak and since she doesn’t have a work to make her busy, trooping to the malls during sales is her favorite past time. It is through this way that she’s able to pool together goods and fill up boxes or crates. She’ll then ship to us here through sea freight which normally takes a month before it arrives right in front of our doorstep. But there are times though like during Christmas season (peak season) that the lead time takes more than 30 days. There was even one time when we waited almost 2 months but it turned out that the freight broker or cargo forwarder got a problem with their load board dealings. My parents were so worried that they asked us to religiously call the forwarder’s local office to follow up. Luckily, it arrived safe and compact a few weeks after my rigorous follow-ups. It’s been a while since they last sent us a package so I won’t be surprised if they’ll call us one of these days to advise that we anticipate a box’s arrival soon. Exciting!
I’m finally appeased now that our neighboring Duplex (Little Mansion’s Twin Sisters), which was the last unit that was constructed here in the compound (after ours), is now finished. No more chaotic scenes of construction materials everywhere, dusts scattered, and most of all, no more noisy drills, steel cutter, hammer, roof sheets being nailed, and all those deafening construction sounds, much to the delight of the little one. He’s deeply annoyed by the steel cutter’s noise that he would whine and cover his ears in fear. He thinks and refers to this as a “tractor” because he knew that tractors are noisy, too.
The last phase of the construction involved painting of the walls. It took them just a few days to finish the exterior walls since there’s no rigorous installation of vinyl siding Richmond needed. House structures, designs and finishing touches of homes here in the country are very much different from those in the US where Victorian Homes are the top favorite styles. Victorian Homes usually have these sidings as the most popular maintenance-free material for new construction. These durable plastics do not rake or flake and above all, the house need not repainted for a long period of time. These are available in several colors, and can imitate architectural details that were once made from wood.
With the finished construction, we can nap in the afternoon so relaxingly now because there are no more loud and ear-irritating construction noises waking us up every now and then.
Everyday there is a car accident happening in the US and it affects millions of American drivers every year. In Georgia , you probably don’t need to seek legal help for claims under $500 since your insurance claim adjustor can handle those cases. But definitely would want to get an expert to help you file claims for damages that much more significant or if you suffer from a personal injury. You might also want to get an Atlanta Car Accident Lawyer if the offending party or their insurance company did not want to compensate you for your loss. If you do a google search of Accident lawyer georgia or auto accident lawyer atlanta one of the top five results will lead you to Goodman & Goodman, LLP. Their expert lawyers will either negotiate your insurance claims or take your case to court and follow through the litigation process. Most of the times, accident attorneys are able to recover more money from offending parties due to the fact that these lawyers know what they are doing. Often adjustors would like to settle your claim for as little money as possible. Also most of these attorneys work in a contingency fee basis. Meaning they get paid when you win a case and they are able to successfully recover your losses.

I was handed earlier a Statement of Account by our “Ninong” developer and as expected, I was flabbergasted by the figures. Of course, we’ve anticipated and it’s on our books as liabilities. But as always, multi-figured bills can be so overwhelming. All the more that I’m driven to stay up late tonight and finish all the pending works I’ve been generously given recently. I’m prodded to scour for more online opportunities to earn. I am sleep-deprived (slept at 4:30 am then woke up at 8:00 AM) but these figures are seemingly my driving force to toil hard and save up to pay off all these bills. :sigh: How I wish there’s an easier and faster way to earn hundreds of thousands. Sometimes, I think about the financial advise I was given years ago. That is to buy gold eagle coins and other gold forms. Should have I purchased eons ago, who knows, I could have been swimming in millions of money now. Gold never devaluate and depreciate, that’s why.

My grandmother used to be a Home Economics teacher in her younger years. Teaching was actually her passion and she taught at the elementary level until she retired. As Home Economics is diverse, she really was adept with a lot of homemaking skills like cooking, sewing, gardening and even a little carpentry work. She also taught some art-related topics like pottery. She said that teaching clay was indeed fun, however, during her time, pottery and ceramic making materials were limited and hard to find. The school didn’t spend a lot of money on the arts supplies so they had to make due with some very basic clays. Unlike schools nowadays that may have ceramic arts as part of their art program, my grandmother’s students didn’t have throwing wheels or kilns. She use to use something fashioned after her home rolling pin to flatten the clay, which they would then place over the few different molds they had. Now there are slab rollers to do a really good job of flattening the clay with a lot less effort. I told my grandmother about AMACO/Brent and how they have free art lessons online for teachers and others to use. They also have throwing wheels, kilns, clays and glazes and wheel replacement parts, as well as slab rollers. They even sell beginner kits for schools who want to add ceramic arts as part of their art education. These kits vary according to the school’s budget. How my grandmother would have loved one of those. I am amazed at my grandmother’s ability to make due with whatever she had. She is amazed at the many pottery supplies and materials that are so easily available today. I told her that it’s not too late. I can order some clays for her, and since she’s still strong, she can still pursue this hobby, as she does now with food preserving which keeps her busy these days. She might not be in her prime years anymore, but by all means, she can still teach…with me as her student.

One month later after the big move to our new home, we’re still busy fixing and sprucing up our little abode. As a friend says, beautifying one’s own home is a never-ending process from the moment of moving in until over time. But of course, it’s more evident during the period of settling in. As we still have most of our walls empty and unadorned still, the husband and I are still continuously “debating” how and what to put up on them. Except for the wall in the dining area which we both concurred to have a framed picture of the Last Supper, we have not come into an agreement yet regarding the walls along the hallway. I want to make a gallery of my son or of that sort like fill it up, the whole of it, with his pictures. On the other hand, the husband wants to claim a portion of it and seemingly convert it to a sort of little sports gallery like fill it up with autographed sports memorabilia since he’s into sports particularly basketball and a bit of baseball. However, he doesn’t have autographed baseballs yet so he’s currently looking right now for a store where he could buy autographed photos of his sports team idols. I do not have qualms actually of him putting up a little sports gallery. I just hope that he observes the limit and majority of the space will be allocated for our son’s pictures.

Black Friday is still more than four months away but I can’t help to get excited. It is because my online friends and I for sure will be engaging in yet again another bout of manic thanksgiving shopping from our favorite US stores. As early as now, we’re already making and preparing our shopping lists. For me, I’ll be shopping for home stuffs mostly like bed linens, towels, some more pots and pans, and hopefully, I can find a home theater system that is on a good deal. Then, I can perhaps squeeze a few apparels for the little one and the husband. The shipping won’t hopefully be a problem because I’ve got US-based friends and relatives who can shop the items for me then have it shipped here through load board and sea freight for cheaper shipping charges. That’s how we shopped during last year’s Thanksgiving sale. That’s also how my parents who are based in the Middle East send stuffs to us. It takes a while before the goods reach us but we can wait. The stuffs and the savings we got are worth the wait. For now, I have to work so I can allot enough shopping money on that event.
The screened grills for our terrace are now ready for installation but as of this writing, the foreman or any of the workers haven’t advised us yet that they’ll proceed. Now I’m wondering if placing windows complete with window tinting los angeles could have been easier for them to complete the installation. I’ve just browsed the site of CampBellFilm.com and that gives me the idea about this brilliant window setup. This would be perfect in hot, humid days as well as in cool nights because this tinting application has a capability to control the room’s temperature balancing the hotness and coldness from the outside. Also, these are commonly utilized by buildings and skycrapers because of its solar control, safety and decorative purposes. This could address the glare problems at the terrace in the afternoon. The window film cuts the annoying glare and reduces up to 99% of the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays. Another benefit of using it is it prevents injury from glass fragments due to crime, accidents or destructive weather. I’ll ask the husband if it’s still possible to change the window plans at the last minute. If it’s not (since I am yet to canvass how much will it cost), we’ll have the screened grills for the mean time and hopefully in the future, we can proceed with the window tinting plans.
