Pictures In Braille is on a mission: to have their music heard in every corner of the galaxy. But obviously, THIS solar system has to come first. Since forming in the twilight of 2005, the quintet from Warwick, NY (50 miles from Manhattan) has been gathering considerable momentum in reaching that aim. "You're Welcome Via Satellite", the band's self-titled debut, features relentless and muscular rhythms adorned with swirling guitar counterpoint and glorious, soaring vocal melodies. Influences come from all over, with various musical tastes throughout the band. Compelling live performances, and a powerful presence on the internet have won the group fans all over the US and beyond including Japan, Europe and Israel. People are responding overwhelmingly to Pictures In Braille's unique and genuine brand of Space Rock.The ensemble has finished recording their new album entitled " Dreaming In Sound ", which will be available in May 2008. Also,they'll be promoting the new album with a FULL US TOUR which will begin on July 1st,2008. Welcome to the new website for Parrot On A Porch records. 2008 will prove to be a very fruitful year for the label and all of our artists. We have some exciting new releases to start 08 including the long awaited masterful debut from our good friends Park Ranger. The record is slated for a March release with a specific date to be announced very soon, so please check back regularly. Also, we have some very exciting new signings as well as some oldies but goodies on the menu for the first half of the year. 12/17/07: Park Ranger at Magpie Cage with Indie legend

Parrot on a Porch artists Park Ranger spent 3 days in Baltimore, MD with legendary musician/producer J Robbins to mix 9 tracks from their upcoming debut album Safe Without Sound due to be released in late Spring, 08. The album was recorded by Parrot's own Dan Coutant in Queens last November at the Buddy Project. We here at the label couldn't be more excited for this landmark release. The album contains 13 tracks and the song "best games played" can now be previewed on Park Ranger's myspace site. We would like to express our overwhelming joy that NYC's Each Other's Mothers will be releasing their debut LP with Parrot on a Porch in early 2008. The band will be hitting the studio with out own Dan Coutant for a limited addition 3 song EP to be featured on the band's upcoming tour. Discussions are in the works about releasing the EP digitally so that fans across the globe can be introduced to this amazing band.
