We’re indeed bit by bit getting busier as the house approaches its completion. We’re taking this as our cue to start thinking about dolling up the interiors. Hoping that it pushes through, we might start buying the appliances one by one soon especially that we found an ample space to temporarily shelter the stuffs. Aside from the furniture and appliances, we’re now also looking for decorations like framed canvas prints, ornaments and other trinkets to prettify the inside. My research about canvas lead me to the website of Colour Graphics as I saw this movie canvas of the 1983 movie Scarface starred by Al Pacino as Tony Montana.

Colour Graphics offers stationary, advertising and other business high quality printing services that uses the Full Colour technology. Among their services are banner and canvas printing, Banner stand and graphic display stands, and large format printing. The offer exceptional and artful design services, too. What’s noteworthy about this company is their earth-nurturing commitment that they only use natural, recyclable, re-usable and energy-saving materials without sacrificing the craftmanship of each product.
I’m trying to picture if the Scarface movie canvas will fit and look good in the little entertainment room that we’d have. I’m hesitant because it appears a little bit off. Although it’s Al Pacino and a movie shot, the bath scene itself is kinda inapt. isn’t it?

What I love most about weekends is the quality bonding time that my boys (the husband and my 2 year old toddler) and I share during our TV watching nights. That is why I’ve been saying that Cable Television is the wisest invention ever. Not until a friend from NJ corrected me and said that DIRECT TV is way better compared to Cable TV not only in terms of the price but more on the overall service and satisfaction that they provide.
Truly, after browsing the DIRECT TV Packages on their website, I felt like calling up our Cable TV operator right away to request cancellation of service. I’m instantly enticed to try out even just the lowermost DIRECTV Packages because albeit the cheapest and most basic, their package is brimming with High Definition channels for just a cheap and fairly reasonable price. Simply put, one gets more for less. What’s even more alluring is that they offer irresistible online deals all year long such as their ongoing promotion of 50% off for one year plus free shipping. Not only is my wallet will be satisfied but more importantly this makes TV viewing a more pleasant and enjoyable experience for my family.

I have just previously mentioned about the possible plan of converting the proposed balcony area to a computer room or a fitness room as thought by the husband initially. But it seems that he hasn’t made up his mind because the other night he brought up another option..that is, to make the spare room an entertainment nook or a play room for the little one. He has this vision of him and his little boy playing ps3 games or wii. But since the little one’s too young to play that, I think it’s indeed a good idea to make it a playroom where all his toys will be placed. That way, the mess will be contained within that area only.

Buying a television set then was a lot easier. Before, the deciding factor in getting the traditional ones (CRTs) basically lies just on the brand. But now, one must have an understanding of the current technology about High Definition TVs (HDTV), before purchasing.

Here’s a rundown of the comparison and a few notes I’ve tabulated from my research.
1. LED by far is the newest but the most expensive among the three. Frugally speaking, experts suggest not to buy this just yet until price drops or technology further evolves. With that said, the succeeding notes will be concentrated on differentiating LCD and Plasma TVs. There’s no way we can go for the most expensive, unless Manny Pacquiao gives us one. Hehe!
2. Plasma is a bit better in the category of contrast ratio compared to LCD.
3. LCD handles still images better. Plasma has an edge for moving images though like chase scenes in movies.
4. If opting for large HDTVs like 50 inches and above, Plasma is a better choice because of its better electronics theory. Critics suggest to go for Samsung or LG as they have very large Plasmas that have proven to be very good.
5. LCD TVs use about half the power of Plasmas generally simply because the neon gas that is inside a plasma TV consumes more electricity to light up.
Critics and experts say that your choice should still boil down to what is just necessary. If you are just an average TV viewer who cares less about the picture quality difference, then just go for the one that fits your minimum requirement and more importantly, your budget.

I just love the husband’s passion and excitement over our future little mansion. Aside from his dedication in dealing with the nitty gritty details of the housing loan application, he’s equally excited as me when it comes to planning and managing our future household. With so much delight, he presented his suggestions and plans as to how he wish each rooms be decorated up to how he’s so particular with what appliances we should have.
A friend of ours recently buzzed about a certain online electronics shop’s recent sale and guess who checked out the site first? Yup, it’s him. He browsed and canvassed how much a home entertainment system complete with HDTV would cost him. He was, of course, surprised that a package would cost him a fortune so he’s wondering if he should just buy the components separately especially that he saw the best 5.25 inch bookshelf speakers that are reasonably priced at BostonAcoustics.com. He also likes how the site has a wide array of powerful and compact speaker system selections to choose from. He figured that having a bookshelf speaker would be a space saver since it can be placed on our ideal bookshelf that will be placed in the living room. I wonder what appliance or furniture he’ll think of next to canvass and window shop online.

Watching the Travel Channel on TV is a favorite relaxing activity of mine or while I lull the little one to nap in the afternoon. Cable TV is really a blessing..I get to watch interesting channels such as travel and leisure stations. They only not entertain me but they seemingly tour me in the destinations worldwide that they feature. Just yesterday, they featured everything about New York. And wasn’t it just yesterday when I blogged about my great New York dream? It only makes my yearning intensified that I literally want to fly to The Big Apple now.
I took down notes yesterday while they featured tips in exploring NYC. The emphasis is to visit the well known city attractions such as the Downtown area, amusement parks, museums and observatory parks. They also suggest to travel in groups aboard a New York Bus Charter. They mention in passing about NYC Bus Charters and it prompted me to read more about them on the web. I came to know that they have been in the transportation industry specializing in travel tours for nearly 30 years. They are based in New York and offer an online service 24 hour customer assistance and utilizes environment-friendly and well-maintained coaches. They employ friendly staff and their service are always on time. Of course, a tourist wants to maximize the limited time that he has when touring so late coaches are a no-no. I’ll take note of their site so if ever I get to The Big Apple, I know which charter bus company to contact.

A picture of a lazy boy recliner that I just saw on Home TV Shopping and a former colleague being added as a Facebook friend recently made me reminisce something. It’s been more than a year since my resignation from the call center so seeing pictures of my former office and of my ex-officemates at her album makes me walk down the memory lane. I so miss my closest buddies, our pantry, my workstation and even the cozy office furniture recliners and sofas that were set up in the reception area. Since it’s a call center and it operates 24/7, our furniture then were carefully selected. The management preferred to have it a homey feel so that it isn’t so formal for the agents and they can just let loose and relax during their breaks. Here’s a similar Lazy Boy Recliner that they has. These recliners are also perfect for the living room or in the entertainment room at home where we could relaxingly sit while watching our favorite flicks and TV shows or when we take our power naps.
