While working on my online assignments this morning, the TV is tuned to the Grand Finals of Showtime, a popular talent show in ABS-CBN.  It’s a little distracting and I can hardly concentrate on my work but as this is the Grand Finals, I can’t help but watch and be astonished by the amazing presentations of the participating groups.  Truly word class talents!  The grand winner was a wild card group and I must say that it’s one well-deserved win.  They just won Php 1 Million in prize, more than enough for the whole group to help them in their living and perhaps, start a business of their own.  It would also be more than enough to buy silver bullion from the US Gold Bureau as an investment startup and a smart way to secure their future.  Silver, just like gold, is a valuable commodity that yields profits in heaps.

While taking a break from work yesterday, I decided to surf the web and look for home-based investment opportunities that I can try.  My freelance writing work, as you know, is very seasonal so I need additional means to somehow secure our incoming monthly cash flow.  My search led me to US Gold Bureau and I learned from there how precious metals such as gold coins can be so promising and profitable.  I’ve read how the experts have become rich because of this type of investment.  But of course, I’m not hoping that it will be an instant hit.  I have so much to learn and explore first about gold, silver and platinum metals and all the ins and outs of this business.  Nevertheless, it sounds exciting and I’m really looking forward to try it.

It was Little Mansion’s blessing today and it was a success.  We’re all tired because of all the last minute preparations we had to do this morning but everything went well.  It was just a brief, intimate event attended by our families.  I will the post the pictures and make a more detailed recount of the event very soon but for now, I’ll savor the moment to rest.  I just have to share though that we almost forgot to do the coin shower.  After the blessing proper, we all proceeded to the buffet table to eat.  And it’s just a few minutes later that I remembered about the coins we specially prepared for the shower which is a house blessing tradition.  We did not really buy gold coins but at one point, I’m thinking what if we did.  I bet our visitors would have not minded the plateful of food they were holding and perhaps, they could have dived to the floor for these gold coins.  It would have been a pretty delightful sight to behold. Hehe!  But seriously, now that we’re coping fine with all our major expenses, I’m thinking to try out and venture on gold investment this time.

After reading an article about what gold ingots have to do with feng shui of the home, I am prompted to go to Binondo now and buy gold coins and other amulets that is said to bring wealth and greatness to any home.  I’m not a Chinese nor I do not 100% believe in Feng Shui but I think it won’t hurt to have a few in the home especially that these amulets can also add to a home’s interior.  In the precious metal world of investment, gold, they say is one of the most profitable and safest investment of all time as it does not devalue. So now this got me thinking to might try this investment.  Who knows this could be the luck that the gold amulet will bring forth.

There are several types of silver investments, making the precious metal an attractive option for a variety of buyers. These investment options fall into one of three categories: Securities, Commodities and Futures, or Physical Ownership. As with all investments, some have more risk than others do. The category that works best for you will depend on your investment goals, your strategies for making a profit from the investment, and your personal preference.

Silver securities are where you’ll find stocks, funds or options for silver. You can find stock in silver and in mining operations. This category also includes exchange dividends (EFTs) and mutual funds. In this category of investing, you don’t own the silver itself, but you do get a percentage of ownership for the company that makes money in some way from silver.

Under commodities and futures, you can work with a trading organization like the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) or Commodity Trade Advisors (CTA) to initiate a contract to purchase silver in the future for a specific price. This type of silver investment is another one in which you do not own the actual silver. You make money if the price of silver is higher than the contracted price, which in essence means you got a bargain you could sell for a profit.

With physical ownership, you purchase silver in some form. You could buy it as silver bullion, bars, ingots, rounds, coins, jewelry or flatware. Instead of a paper or a certificate, you own the actual precious metal. You can store the silver to sell at a future date, or you can sell it right away. Some people prefer this type of investment because they actually own the good as opposed to a stock or a future where they only own an agreement or a percentage.

And just like that, April’s gone and it’s May already. Whew! I actually didn’t notice the month passing by. It is because I’ve been extremely busy with a lot of things mostly with work. I’ve never been this overwhelmed and grateful as work has been tremendously generous last month. Because of that, our savings account couldn’t be much happier with the hefty extra earnings I got. Since we’ve earned enough, I’m thinking to buy silver bullion and try asset investment. I’ll do a comparative study first between gold and silver but regardless, I know that it will be a long term profitable business. Gold never devalue and it’s not affected by the foreign exchange trending. So yes, I’ve been busy..busy getting rich. LOL.

Finally, we have a couple of achievements to scratch off from our To Do’s relative to our little mansion project still. We have now completed the requirements package for the housing loan so what’s just left is to submit all of the pertinent documents to our developer then cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Along with this undertaking, the husband and I are having thoughts if we’ll pursue our initial plans of investing in other forms like hard assets such as rare gold coins for instance. Rare coin experts from Monaco Rare Coin say that precious metals investment yields promising profits even in these hard times of recession. Just of course be armed with the necessary know-how and skills, be wary of the possible market pitfalls and consult nobody but the best rare coin experts from Monaco Rare Coin, a trusted leader in precious metals investments for 40 years.
