I can’t recall if I’ve already shared this picture before. This is my son’s mini-library which we specially allotted a space for in our bedroom. Ever since he was just a few months old, we’ve started exposing him to board books and other books apt for his age. Even though he just gnawed them and did not necessarily looked at each page then, they say that doing such will inculcate in him to love books early on aside from the fact that mental milestones will be greatly and rapidly developed. And so, at 2 years of age, this is his collection of books and I’m just appeased that he, indeed, has become a book lover. However, since he has read all of his books already, he’s yearning for newer books. While we can easily buy tons of new ones, I’m also controlling the urge since we just have a small home and could not allocate a space for a huge library of books. That’s why we’re exploring other means to satisfy his yearning without necessarily spending much and cramping our little abode.
I find the services of Booksfree.com interesting. Basically, it’s a Book rental site in which a member can enjoy unlimited paperbacks and Rent books for all ages. Yes, including Children’s books! It works the same as Netflix only, instead of films, books and Audio books on cd are being rented for just a cheap membership fee and shipped for free. With a setup like this, I don’t have to worry about storage anymore. After all, what’s important is that he’d have books to read regardless how it was obtained.

This is my sort of mini-library in our bedroom. Asher and I got two shelves to put our book collections on. From the pictures above, it’s no brainer to determine who my favorite author is. My other collections include motherhood and parenting books (as pictured on the second) and cook books (they’re sequestering a portion of Asher’s shelf below). Ever since I became a mom, I believe that it’s my responsibility to continually learn and keep myself abreast of everything that a mom is ought to know. My favorite among them is the What To Expect Book series.
I do not have weight loss pill comparison books because I do not need them given with a scrawny built. As I’m determined to hone my cooking newbie skills, I’m leaning to collect more cooking and recipe books this time.

I’m admittedly, in a way, a book lover. I never fail to buy the latest book that my favorite American author releases each year. Although I may not be able to read as often as I would like nowadays because of my hectic work, I’ll still continue buying book additions to my collection. That is why, in our Little Mansion, I’ll see to it to have a bookshelf of my own where I can place all my pocketbooks, cookbooks, parenting books, home and living magazines and other interesting promotional items reads.
And for my son, who’s also into early fondness of books, he’ll also get to have his own shelf..his very own mini-library.
Now I wonder which among the pictures below will be our inspiration for our “libraries”.
